Nominations Open for the 2015 Environmental Awards
The CEF Annual Environmental Awards are presented to mark the outstanding contribution of individual citizens, voluntary and community organisations, public sector bodies and businesses to the preservation or improvement of the environment of Cork City and/or County.
This year as always CEF is looking for nominations within these the 4 pillars of society (as listed below) as well as the Community Garden Award – open to community gardens, allotments and other growing initiatives. The Community Garden Award now has 2 categories a school entry category and a general entry category.
There is a huge amount of wonderful environmental care and action being carried out in Cork, often under the radar by public institutions, the business and commercial sector, community groups and individuals. The Annual Environmental Awards is an opportunity to shine a light on this work.
All nominations will be considered by the selection panel which consists of members of the CEF Management Committee and Michael Ewing from the Irish Environmental Network.
So if you know of a person, group, business, public body or community garden that is contributing in a positive way to the environment, please acknowledge this by nominating them for a CEF Environmental Award.
The following forms can be completed easily on line.
