Cork Environmental Forum participates in the Cork City St. Patrick’s Annual Parade to express themes of sustainability through it’s float. It is joined by the Mahon Youth Group, Cork Community Bikes, Cork Climate Action and some of the Cork Samba musicians.
Building on the Biodiversity theme of previous years with fish, gulls and puffins the children from Mahon Youth Group have are supporting the protection of kelp in our marine environment which create the forests of the sea. Sustainable travel is represented with the Cork Community Bike parade and CEF also highlights the Refill campaign which aims to reduce use of plastic bottled water. The float will features renewable energy and costumes from upcycled waste materials. We are delighted each year to be joined by new comers to Cork from all parts of the globe who love to join in such a collaborative and representative event.
