Coastwatch Survey 2015
HOW CLEAN IS THE COASTLINE IN CORK? – COASTAL SURVEY WORKSHOP
Coastwatch Europe, The Cork Environmental Forum and Cork Nature Network are working together to ask for the help of the public by participating in a survey to give an overview of the state of the coastline of Cork.
The survey asks volunteers to check a stretch of coast around low tide. This involves noting observations and some simple water tests. The information is then collected and returned to Coastwatch. No knowledge is required. Just an interest to be involved. This is a great way to learn about your local environment.
To find out about the survey and how you can help come along to O’Donovans Hotel, Clonakilty on Sunday 6th September at 3pm. Please also bring wellies & warm, waterproof clothing as there will be a site visit after the talk.
