Bike Week 2026

Jun 4, 2026 | Bike Week, News

This May, we celebrated Bike Week 2026 from the 9th to the 17th of May. We hosted a wide range of events, from long-distance cycles and bike repair sessions to art exhibitions. In total, we organised thirty-six free cycling events that were funded by Cork Sports Partnership and organised by Cork, Transport & Mobility Forum.

Bike Week was the perfect opportunity to enjoy the many benefits of cycling: getting active, having fun, and meeting new people. Participants explored the biodiversity around Cork during events such as the Otter Cycle and the Bat Cycle, and learned more about local history through the Island of Cork History Cycle. This amazing week of cycling events was also an opportunity to discover more about our night skies during the Moonlight Cycle and the Cycle Through the Planets. We even explored cycling through the lens of art, whether it be through our art exhibition, the Street Art Cycle, or the Bike Art Workshop.

Overall, we were delighted to meet so many of you and to gather as a community around cycling while promoting active and sustainable mobility.

We hope that Bike Week inspired many of you to start — or continue! — cycling, and to appreciate all the dvantages it can offer!
