Join us for the Irish launch of Pink Bucket: Glyphosate and My Cancer Journey by Dolar Vasani at Cork
Biodiversity Hub, Ballincollig on Saturday, 20th June from 11am – 1pm. The event will feature an engaging
conversation between the author and Rupa Marya, MD, physician, researcher and author.
Following a diagnosis of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a blood cancer, the author began asking difficult questions
about the hidden dangers of synthetic pesticides and their impact on human health and the environment. That
deeply personal search for answers became the foundation of Pink Bucket.
Part memoir and part accessible science, the book explores how toxic exposures accumulate in our bodies,
ecosystems and future generations. At the centre of the story is the ‘pink bucket’, a powerful symbol of the
burdens we carry, often without realising it.
Through this thought provoking work, the author encourages readers to ask questions, seek understanding and
choose awareness over fear. While deeply personal, the story forms part of a wider global conversation about
cancer, glyphosate, environmental health and the everyday choices that shape our lives.

To broaden the conversation we will hear from Thomas O’Connor an organic certified and agroecological
farmer, owner of Manna Organics in Kerry and member of Talamh Beo. With inputs from research in this area
and from other health professionals.
Guests attending the launch will have the opportunity to hear the story behind the book and take part in
meaningful discussion about the widespread use of pesticides and its impact on our health and environment.
